The bishops & Roman Emperor Constantine decided upon a date for the pagan holiday of Easter, which was being observed at

different times around the empire. and to rid the practice of the early church which was to keep the Passover, the

council settled on a moveable day that would never coincide again with the passover — the first Sunday after the first

full moon on or after the vernal equinox.
